Work.Life, a fast-growing flexible workspace operator, was seeking to appoint a Head of Real Estate to lead its acquisition, asset management, and delivery functions. This critical leadership hire marked the formal transition of responsibilities from the co-founder, as the business prepared to enter its next phase of growth.

(Challenge)

The role would sit on the leadership team and play a central part in shaping Work.Life’s expansion strategy. Key responsibilities included sourcing and delivering new locations, optimising the performance of the existing estate, and driving the commercial success of the real estate platform underpinning the brand’s long-term ambitions. Securing the right candidate was essential to realising the company’s growth plans.

(Solution)

We engaged with 115 candidates from a range of relevant backgrounds aligned to the brief, assessing them on technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit. This process produced a shortlist of 10 high-calibre individuals. To drive engagement, we created a bespoke campaign site featuring a 15-minute Q&A with the founder to authentically communicate the role and vision, and ran tailored assessments to evaluate both technical and behavioural alignment. We facilitated a structured three-stage interview process and managed the offer, negotiation, and transition to ensure a smooth hire.

Work.Life successfully appointed a new Head of Real Estate, equipped to lead the next stage of growth and deliver on the company’s ambitious real estate strategy.
