Lysara – Team Build

Lysara, backed by GreenPoint Partners, is on a transformative journey to create a pan-European platform of fleet electrification assets.The business has undergone a management buyout, rebrand, and leadership changes, as well as the desire to combine two legacy portfolios: a 37-site UK-wide car park portfolio being densified through EV charging, self-storage, and development opportunities; and a growing portfolio of covered land assets intended for electrified fleet charging infrastructure across multiple vehicle segments - passenger cars, delivery vans, and HGVs.
To deliver on its ambitious business plan and deploy £2bn of capital, Lysara needed to strengthen the calibre and capability of its team. Key to this was the appointment of two Investment Professionals, a Senior Asset Manager, and a Senior Development Manager. With a rapidly expanding portfolio and ongoing acquisitions, the business required operational alignment, structural scalability, and the internal expertise to integrate and optimise assets. These hires formed the foundation to support Lysara’s current operations and long-term platform growth across Europe.
We identified 515 candidates across four targeted searches, broadening the brief beyond direct fleet electrification expertise to include industrial and logistics professionals, with a preference for pan-European experience. Candidates were assessed on expertise, leadership qualities, and cultural fit, refining the pool to an average of seven strong prospects per role. From this, 29 individuals were presented, leading to 25 first-round interviews. Each candidate completed both technical and behavioural exercises, giving the client a holistic view of capability and fit. The process included tailored three-stage structures for each role: a technical modelling task for Investment, a targeted case study for Asset Management, and structured interviews for Development. To strengthen engagement with a scaling brand, we created personalised role-specific websites featuring Q&As with senior leadership, offering candidates deeper insight into the business and its ambitions.

Lysara hired 5 candidates: Two Investment Professionals, two Development Managers and a Senior Asset Manager. NB: given the quality of the Development Management shortlist, Lysara hired two individuals from the one mandate.
