Investment Analyst
Our client is a leading Private Equity fund that focus on investing in student accommodation and co-living across the UK. They are the fastest growing HMO fund in the UK, acquiring over the last twelve months c.1,500 beds in 10 of the highest-ranked UK university cities.
Our client’s aim is to provide investors with best-in-class returns while revolutionising the way students live together.
Due to growth, they are looking for a bright and highly motivated Investment Analyst to join their dynamic team on their journey to reinvent the future of co-living.
Role
The Investment Analyst’s primary duties include the following:
- Perform financial modelling, analysis and general due diligence required to evaluate prospective assets and support the investment thesis with market data
- Write investment memorandums for presentation to the Investment Committee
- Monitor and develop an in-depth understanding of the HMO market at macro and micro levels to identify trends and inform investment decision making
- Contribute to the collective market intelligence through the accumulation, origination, interpretation, and presentation of relevant research.
- Support sourcing efforts of opportunities across the selected target cities
- Support the Fund Management team for the compilation of reports (internal and external), research, presentation material and investor reporting
- Assist with portfolio management needs related to existing investments
Desired skills & experience
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in accounting, Economics, Finance or another quantitative subject
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Previous internship experience or exposure to real estate
- Knowledge of the UK real estate market, preferably related to student accommodations
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to rapidly comprehend complex issues
- Ability to work well and independently in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
Salary:
- Up to £60,000 + attractive bonus scheme
