Head of Investor Relations (Singapore) // Real Estate Investment Management
Rockbourne APAC are partnered with a leading Real Estate Investment Management firm on a Head of Investor Relations hire in Singapore.
The successful candidate will lead investor relations and capital raising efforts through best-in-class and differentiated outreach initiatives to existing and potential investor bases. The position will cover all business platforms and funds raised and this person will lead and coordinate all aspects of IR activities, fund reporting, and communications with investors globally.
Lead the strategy, planning, development, and execution of all investor relations initiatives for the firm
Actively originate, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective investors, including major LPs, institutional investors, investment managers, financial institutions, pensions, sovereign wealth funds, single/multi-family offices, U/HNW investors, etc., with the clear objective to raise new funds
Communicate and manage relationships with existing and prospective investors through regular investor updates and responding to investors’ queries
Develop and continuously update a high-quality suite of marketing materials including pitch decks, PPMs, etc. for investors in partnership with investment team
Participate in meetings with senior investment professionals and investors
Organize and participate in investor due diligence sessions and take responsibility for responding to investor DDQ and RFPs in partnership with investment team
Author and distribute investor correspondence on fund performance and periodic investor updates of the firm and its investments
Coordinate and oversee the management of client communications
Work with fund administrator and finance teams to develop high-quality investor reporting materials, including quarterly reports, investor letters etc.
Attend to ad-hoc investor queries, updates, and requests
Work with senior management on new product development to ensure all product offerings (funds, co-investments, etc.) are aligned with best practices and address market appetite
Assess and research market opportunities for product gaps and positioning of new products
Lead client onboarding function and process investor subscriptions by working closely with fund administrators, legal and compliance teams internally and externally
Desired Skills & Experience
University degree in Finance, Marketing, or related field, preferably from top university
Minimum 8 years experience in investor relations or investment banking in the real estate sector
Demonstrable track record of successful fundraising for funds/platforms with strong relationship and network with investors (e.g., LPs, GPs, FIs, family offices, UHNWs, etc.)
Knowledge of alternative investments and fund vehicles across key jurisdictions in Asia
Excellent presentation drafting and copywriting
Strong inter-personal and team-working skills and confidence to clarify ideas to counterparts and investors
Demonstrated ability to harvest information from financial models, financial statements, legal documents, and investment team members
Proactive approach with attention to quality and detail of work product
High level of professionalism, work ethic, confidentiality, and integrity
Strong written and oral communication. Fluent in English. An additional Asian language (e.g., Japanese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, etc.) is highly preferred
