Rockbourne are pleased to be representing a leading Investment Management company. The firm has a renowned management team with a consistently superior track record to a variety of prestigious Capital Partners. They have a portfolio of Commercial Real Estate with a focus on the mixed-use, office, retail and leisure space, across the key regional cities.

Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Retail and Leisure Asset Manager to the team. As an Asset Manager you will work closely with the Directors and assist in the successful asset management of the Retail and Leisure Parks, alongside High Street assets. Whilst over time, gaining the opportunity to have responsibility of your own assets.

You may be a Retail Agent looking for your first client-side role, or a Qualified Surveyor looking to gain more exposure working in the in the Asset Management space.

It is imperative to have a real passion for the retail industry and its ever-evolving nature, and the desire to work in a fun, collaborative, and fast paced team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Directors in the successful asset management of Retail and Leisure parks alongside high street assets
  • Over time the successful asset manager will have responsibility for their own assets in addition to continuing to assist the Directors
  • Managing third party consultants to own and implement successful asset management strategies- solicitors, agents, property managers, construction consultants etc 
  • Full breadth of asset management responsibilities to include lettings, regears, lease renewals, rent reviews, surrenders, tenant restructuring and development/ refurbishment
  • Building relationships with tenants, stakeholders and consultants and establishing a strong network of market contacts
  • Responsibility for the quarterly, ad hoc and annual business plan reporting of current assets to investors and lenders alongside the Directors
  • Get involved in wider business initiatives and sectors as necessary

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-5 years PQE
  • The role requires a candidate who is passionate about retail & leisure, the changing marketplace and world around them
  • The individual will be positive about developing their own career with support from Directors
  • High level of attention to detail, strong commercial acumen and a keen eye to problem solve- an ability to ‘go the extra mile’
  • Demonstratable experience of adding value to multi-let property assets and an understanding of the different facets of asset management
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Sound numerical and analytical skills with experience of valuation and what contributes to adding value
